
Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences was established in 2006 with the aim of creating a multispecialty hospital in Agaram Village, Puducherry, India
The focus was on providing free advanced medical care to the poor in a compassionate environment and developing a world-class teaching and research setting.
Each year, 150 students enroll in the undergraduate MBBS program, with postgraduate degrees offered in eight specializations: Physiology, Biochemistry, Community Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Pharmacology, Radiology, Otorhinolaryngology, Orthopaedics, and Dermatology. Ph.D. programs are also available
The institute is recognized by the Medical Council of India and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, and is affiliated with the Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research in Chennai
The college’s diverse community creates a dynamic and cosmopolitan atmosphere, with about 30% of students coming from other states. Orientation programs and English language support are provided.
