The Institute Post Graduate Institute of Behavioural & Medical Sciences (PGIBAMS) Dr. Prakash Narayan Shukla is both a founding member and the director of the Post Graduate Institute of Behavioural & Medical Sciences (PGIBAMS). With an M.B.B.S. from Jabalpur University and a D.P.M. and MD in Psychiatry from K.M. Seth of P.G. Medicine & Research, Ahmedabad, Dr. Shukla has extensively worked for more than 27 years in Psychiatry as a faculty at respected institutions and as a Private Consultant Psychiatrist.
A visionary committed to addressing the root causes of psychiatric issues in society, Dr. Shukla aimed to establish his own institute; PGIBAMS is the product of his dedication and effort, becoming fully operational in August 2003
Dr. Shukla’s accolades include many publication and presentation achievements at CIPCON. Previously, he served as President of I.P.S., Central Zone 2001-2002, and was awarded the Prof. B. B. Sethi Oration Award, Central Zone, 2007. He has participated in numerous national and international conferences and successfully organized the National Mid Term C.M.E. Programme at Raipur in 2007.
